Fatkin produced a feasibility study and concept design of a new 800 space MSCP incorporating a high-quality secure cycle hub for Trust staff. The MSCP was intended to provide the first step in a major site-wide masterplan to unlock surface car parking land and enable clinical expansion at the city centre hospital.

The site is characterised by extremely steep topography and is neighboured by Conservation Areas. The concept design for the MSCP incorporated a green roof and living walls.

The proposed car park layout took advantage of the topography to create a one-way flow utilising existing highway within the Trust site, maintaining critical service access routes and providing safe access for pedestrians and cyclists. The secure cycle hub provides substantial changing and drying facilities to promote sustainable travel amongst Trust staff.
