Fatkin provided architectural and planning services for the design of a new built dwelling to replace the client’s existing old structure on the same plot.

The replacement dwelling provides a high-quality contemporary house with references to local vernacular to the client’s request. Fatkin worked closely with the client to provide an attractive dwelling that would fit their individual requirements for light and space, whilst achieving high levels of insulation for increased energy efficiency and comfort.

The design includes a living room overlooking the client’s garden, kitchen with a larder and dining room at ground floor, with three bedrooms and a bathroom at first floor. A sitting area on the first floor landing with a picture window provides a quiet reading area.
